History

Venture fund follows AVentures Capital corporate fund, an in-house investment fund with 12 years of investing and operating experience in Ukraine, CEE and USA. During 2000-2011, AVentures launched and financed a series of companies whose total revenue exceeded US$1B.

1994: Launched Unitrade, which quickly became a leading consumer electronics retail chain in Ukraine
1998: Founded Universal Telecom, exited in 2002
1999: Investment in publishing house DK Zvyazok and merger with PH Softpress in 2001
2000: Launched AVentures Corporate Fund I and began making venture investments in Ukraine
2003: Launched United Software Corporation, an information technology company with offices in Ukraine, UK, Germany and Silicon Valley
2004: Founded retail chain City.com, retail chain Melofon.ua, real estate developer Trend
2005: Investment in InetGrid, an energy and IT company (Smart Grid)
2006: Exited from United Software Corporation (bought by DFJ Next)
2008: Exited from Unitrade, City.com, Melofon.ua, Trend
2009: Founded and provided US$1M in seed investment to DIVAN.TV, a Smart TV startup in Ukraine and CEE
Made seed investment into Contacter.biz, a device-based messenger
2010: Made seed investment into First Contact (Contacter.biz), a device-based messenger (P2P technology)
2011: Managing Partner became Member of the Board at MoneXy, NFC payments company in Ukraine and CEE
2012: Round A for DIVAN.TV and developed go-to-market strategy
